Shipping and returns policy :
Packages leave from our offices near Dieppe, France using the French postal system. For deliveries in France, the Colissimo Suivi system is used. For deliveries elsewhere worldwide, an ordinary postal delivery service with follow-up is suggested. Please check on the French postal system website to research your postal delivery delays, according to your location.

Placing an order with us, implies your acceptation of the following sales conditions, unless you have written proof of a waiver established by ourselves.
The present sales contract is concluded between our company, registered in France and yourself, described as the consumer ( a consumer is a person acting as a private citizen in a non business related context), within the framework of an online catalogue sale.
The only competent law governing our activity is French law. In case of any dispute or litigation, only the Tribunal de Dieppe, can be contacted.
The articles for sale on our website: www.comptoir-decoration-marine.com, have been chosen with care in order to give you a clear idea of the merchandise on offer. Nevertheless, the photos on the site cannot be considered contractual as small variations in color or size could possibly exist. Many of our items are made of natural materials that have been painted or tinted, such as wood or various metals. These materials can have natural variations in surfacing that can cause slight differences in texture or color during their manufacture. Therefore, it is impossible to guarantee that each of these items is absolutely identical to the color and image on your specific computer screen.
You should plan on a delivery delay anywhere from 48 hours up to three weeks depending on availability. Since we most often work off of existing stock, the average is much closer to 48 hours. However, when ordering with a specific holiday in mind, such as Christmas, it is wisest to plan on advance ordering to ensure your complete satisfaction.
The above mentioned delivery delay starts after you receive an e-mail from us confirming your order. This confirmation will indicate the approximate delivery date and confirm the prices. Every order that has been confirmed by us is irrevocable and cannot be modified from that point on.
Shipping and Insurance: Our packages travel by Colissimo Suivi in France. Elsewhere, worldwide, the postal service with follow up is suggested. If you choose to pay an additional fee, we can ship your items to you through a registered mail delivery. However, you must indicate this preference at the time you order, so that appropriate shipping charges can be applied. Our merchandise travels at the risk and peril of the buyer. Therefore, any breakage during shipping, or items missing from a deteriorated package must be sorted out through the postal system. We cannot be held responsible for damage or thievery during transport.
Retraction delay: The legal delay for retracting your order is 7 working days, starting with the day the package was delivered to you. If you choose to exercise your right to retract your order, we will reimburse the sum of money sent, less the shipping fees as long as the package is returned to us postage paid, in its original state and does not show signs of use.
Warranty: For clocks, a one year warranty is in effect for the mechanism. The warranty covers those parts or replacement of the item, but does not cover the transport of said parts or replacement either to or from our offices. All other items do not carry a specific warranty. Only blatant manufacturing defects can be put into question. All inquiries concerning breakage once the item is in your possession will not be considered.
